Title: Diginoise in Laptop Recording-- Potential Causes?
Post by: winisp on August 07, 2006, 05:43:54 PM

I have recorded about 20 bands on my laptop and never had any diginoise in my recordings. My Sat night recordings have a few dignoise blips in the master recordings.  I am trying to understand the cause.

I was messing around in WaveLab switching between level and spectrum setting for the display. Also, I would log on periodically after screen saver came on.

Wireless, AntiVirus SW, everything else was off.

Is it me interacting minmally with the computer or is it potentially something else?

Thanks in advance.

Screensaver could be the problem. When I initially ran laptop, I was using a Dell. I forgot to turn off the screensaver; and I would get dropouts when I disengaged the screensaver. Not really diginoise, but pauses in the recording.
