Just got my UA-5 and want to test my gear with the stereo, do I want hi-z or lo-z on?

Depends on how you're connecting.  XLR is lo, 1/4 is hi.

So if I'm running mics from the XLR and a soundboard feed with the RCA inputs do I just push the button really fast repeatedly thoughout the show? ;D
