Title: ADK A51TL storage

Hey all.... just curious... anyone with the mics, what do you put them in to protect them in your gear bag?  I just got a pair and I doubt a pelican case is an option cause of the size.  I'lm leaning to crown royal bags but thought I would see what others do.

Would love to be able to fit them and the shocks into my Nova5 with the 480s.  Did it earlier but it's packed enough where I don't like it.

My TL's travel in their shocks and with their windscreens on while in a Nova 5 bag.  Saves a bunch of space and seems pretty damn safe.....

I store mine in a pelican case model # 1150 They are a perfect fit plus it is waterproof and packed with foam

The ADK A51S LEs I had came in mic pouches like these:

They were nice...  I miss them...

Now that I've gone to TLs, I'm keeping them in Crown Royal pouches.  But I keep them in my flight case, not in my gear bag.

I put the windscreens and deadrats on them and wrap them up together in a thick shirt.  Then I put them in the main pocket of my gear bag.  It seems weird but works very well.

Better safe than sorry: Peilcan case all the way.

I'd rather lug around an extra case and have the added comfort of mind.  After numerous saves from drink spills and my gear being kicked by wooks not paying attention  :smash: , in addition to my own klutziness, I'd rather do my best to protect the investment vs. make them easier to carry around.

Yea... I have my 480s in a case... not sure I could do the TLs without a new bag.

Broke in the TLs for the first time Saturday for a local psychedelic blues band.... Was very interesting.  They were asked to play a biker bar a few days before and were starting early.  Around 5 pm.  Got there and got set up, had one beer at about 5:30, and taped them and most of the next rockabilly band that came on.  The shows came out pretty well... Espically considering the venue sucked but at 9 while ordering a water (and I tipped a buck for each water)  I was told I was cut off.  Then security came back at 10 and asked why I had not left yet.  I said I was just recording the band and that since I was only drinking water being cut off was not that big of a deal and just wanted to get the last band.  I had 1 beer the whole night and was pretty much at a small table the whole time causing no problems..  Meanwhile there were 2 fights on the other side of the bar and one glass thrown twords the band.  I had to be the most mellow one there.  Oh well, very strange.

TLs sound good right into the modded R-4 thats all I wanted to test.

I keep my TL's in the case I got them in....only seem to tape in the summer now at fests where taking the case is not a big deal, one day though....

And now they travel in a Pelican 1060. They're moving up in the world.  ;)
