Title: Sound Pro AT853 > SP Batt/bass Box > (stealth)
Post by: willndmb on August 21, 2006, 12:09:31 PM
i have a JB3 and a MT 24/96

here is the case, which adds to the choice...
a "festival" day long show with prob 6 or 7 bands, so battery life (i do have a add on battery box for the mt but only one internal for the jb3)
record time - jb3 would be able to cover the whole day no prob

basically i have a trade off one way or the other
just looking for opinions on which you would use
thanks

If I interpret your post correctly:

While you have the battery capacity to run the MT2496 all day, you do not have the storage capacity.  With the JB3, you have the opposite problem:  sufficient storage capacity, but not enough battery capacity.

Both the JB3 and MT2496 run on 5v, so I'd tweak the MT2496 battery setup for use with the JB3.  Make an additional battery cable that will allow you to power the JB3 from the MT2496's external power supply.  Problem solved.

why didn't i think of that

the MT battery box is USB of course
so i would just need to get a usb > adapitip for the jb3
+T

will, use the mt until you run out of storage space, then switch to the jb3.
i thought about that too, but then i though shit if i am going to bring both in i can bring in a 9v walmart battery too
i was just trying to have as little as poss to deal with
