Title: Can't get get playback DURING transfer

I am having trouble figuring out which setting is wrong when I want to lsiten to as recording during the transfer from DAT to PC.

I have a sony R300 > M-Audio 96/24 and i think I have I have tried every setting.

Any insight would be helpful.

listening out of the R300 would be the easiest.

Yeah - thats what I've been doing, but then I have to switch the RCA interconnects from the R300 to the M-Audio AP24/96 card to listen out of my pc.

Not a huge deal - just thought I would have been able to do it. Maybe I can call m-audio and ask.

might want to check some of the monitoring settings on the 2496 control panel, good luck!

With the 2496 you need to select SPDIF in for the output in the patchbay tab.
