Post by: jasonw on September 21, 2006, 11:35:15 PM
Do windscreens exsist for these tiny things?  Also what about clips so I can put these on a mic stand.  I already have a "t-bar"

here is a BIG screen for ya

they generally come with AT8102 two-stage foam windscreen... this is the one i have used in all cases, except when stealthing... i cant think of encountering any issues, but they are no big ass shure

regarding the clips, alpha light and sound has some of the nice rotating shures for cheap, 2 for $17... i think a couple of the other vendors will match that price.

If I may, Sound Professionals sells a fantastic Shure Premium Windscreen (http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SH-PREM-WS) that works with the AT853s, and I *love* it. This Shure windscreen snaps/"locks" onto the AT853 and it's a very durable windscreen. The basket inside this windscreen is a harder "plastic" substance (as opposed to a more "flimsy" rubber material, found in other Audio Technica windscreens).

Disclaimer: No, I'm not affiliated with Sound Professionals other than being a satisfied customer.

Thanks for this, I might try that! I have the common windscreen that came with SP CMC-4 and they are already teared at the bottom where inserted, due to numerous insertions/removals.
