Ive been recording gigs for a good few years but have never recorded a lossless concert yet.At one time a recording was a recording,as long as it was listenable it was all good. Now i know that its more acceptrable to have lossless recordings to trade and share, but dont know how to.I have a sony mz-nh700 hi-md minidisc recorder, which i use with a sony ecm-719 mic, this gives good enough results for me but if i could figure out hoew to record in lossles id be a bit happier. What settings do i need to have in order to make a lossless recording. Also what is the best way to transfer as i usually plug my md to my pc via line in on my pc,which i know isnt a true digtal transfer.

go into the menu, select "REC set", then go into "REC mode" and then select "PCM". Now you'll record in lossless. You'll also see the letters "PCM" on the main screen.
You can upload your recordings using the USB cable and the Sonicstage program.
