Title: Problem transferring DAT to computer with Phonic Digitrack
Post by: Bodhi on October 21, 2006, 06:52:29 AM
Hi there,

I bought a Sony PCM-M1 DAT recorder some weeks ago and I've got some problems to transfer my DAT tapes.

My gear is :

Sony PCM-M1 DAT using Maxwell 60m DDS tapes
SP-SPSB-8 > SP-CMC-8 Omni
Sony 7-pin S/PDIF cable
Phonic Digitrack (http://www.phonic.com/pressroom/latestnews/digitrack.htm) -picture (http://www.woodbrass.com/images/woodbrass/PHONIC+DIGITRACK+USB+AUDIO+MIDI.JPG)-

My computer seems to ignore the Phonic Digitrack although all the drivers are well installed and the USB connection is effective.
There is no sound at all through my computer and also through the Phonic Digitrack using the phones' plug (while the tape is rolling, of course)
I'm wondering if it comes from the 7-pin S/PDIF cable or not, thanks in advance for the help.

Hello,
Were you able to get the Phonic Digitrack to work in your DAT transfer?  I am looking to start transferring some DAT and need to buy something and wonder if the digitrack is a good solution
Thanks,
Trent
