Title: bt.etree seeding help
Post by: dennisrtyler on November 13, 2006, 08:43:02 PM
i've seeded a few shows at bt.etree and never had any problems. now i have problems. i've created my fileset, created the torrent file and filled out the upload page on bt.etree. everything was successful on that end. when i double-click my torrent file to start seeding, my bt client opens up and starts as if it is DOWNLOADING, not uploading?? it even creates a new file with empty files like it is downloading the show that i am trying to upload. any ideas ??? :-\ thanks!

When you click the torrent on the page it should ask where you want it and then you select the folder with the file your uploading. Are you doing this because if your not it doesn't know if you are the seeder or the leacher? After select the original file it will start to download until the file is completed then start uploading if some is downloading that is.

I think you are talking about it "Checking Existing File" which checks the folder against the torrent...quickly goes to 100% then starts uploading.  ???

ha ha...thanks for your help! i think somehow i had the bt client set to d/l into my documents when all i wanted to do was upload. somewhere in figuring out the upload part, i tweaked the d/l part. i'll get it right next time ;)
