Title: RIFF cunk

recorded show on my mt to a 2gb sand disk ultra II cf card. everything sounded fine while  recording.get home and put card in desk top, try to open with cd wave and it reads[ cannot open RIFF cunk not valid wave file ]. anyone have a clue i sure could use some help

i'm not sure it's the exact same thing, but i remember someone using some software to correct a similar problem.

Try to open in with soundhack, then save a copy, then use that copy. Or try to fix the header with soundhack.

found out in computer section what a riff cunk is, yet no real help locating how to open file. now i'm  working with sounhack as cleantone suggested. thanks for your help i'll kept you posted how it works out.

well i talked with tom from soundhack it seams to be you need macintosh to use soundhack so any other suggestions would be helpful

There may be a newer version around, check with

Also an import into WaveLab or Adobe Audition can resolve some WAV issues
