Has anyone else noticed this?
If I put the media in a card reader and delete files from windows I don't get my free space recovered. Notice that the most of my full capacity of 3.79gb is all in use, even though I deleted two very large files which were taking up roughly about 1/2 of the space. This is on Win/XP and using a Transcend card reader.
If I delete files right on a pocket pc everything is ok.

Huh, thats odd. FWIW I haven't had any issues erasing my 4GB Transcend SD card via Disc Utility on my Mac.

Check the recycle bin. Sometimes windows creates a hidden recycle bin directory on removable media..

I have the folder options set to display system and hidden files and I don't see any recycle-bin folder there.
If it's there, it doesn't show in dos or on the pda either.

Yea you have to select show hidden and show system and you should see a dir called 'RECYCLER'.
Anyway, even if there is a hidden directory all the files are shown in the recycle bin that is viewed from the desktop. Maybe open that up and see if they are there. Also... just for S&G when deleting you may want to try shift+delete so the files don't go to the bin.
Don't know if this is your problem.. But I had similar with both CF and SD cards when deleting from the computer. If I deleted from my recorder I was fine.
