Finally the answer! Unless everyone else knows this and I just couldn't find the answer because I can't search worth crap :-[
:jawdrop: http://tinyurl.com/yb8tsb (http://tinyurl.com/yb8tsb) :yikes:
Only $300.00 :o :o :o
HMMMMMmmmmmmmm...
Makes you wonder if we are dealing with a high tech crimp system rather than a super secret soldering system. :-\
Now if a Taper with a day job at a shop with a CNC lathe would reverse engineer this tool for $50.00 each we would all be happy. ;D
Later guys,

Yup - the price sounds about right for a hand-made tool made in very small numbers and allowing a retailer like B+H to make their profit.
I have seen other similar tools for a similar price.

I paid $65 for a Left-Handed Smoke Shifter at a camping store once ;D
Seriously, that looks like a crimper, no doubt
And from DPA it probably has precision stops to prevent overcrimpage
The cost is in the dimensional tolerance and the low quantity sold, as John stated
