Make sure there's enough room on the PC's hard drive.  You need at least twice the size of the file you are transferring.

Is your hard drive partitioned so that your applications run on C: and you are storing to some other drive?  If so, then I would again question if you have enough drive space on C: to make the transfer?  You need enough room on that drive to hold the file that's being transferred, even if you are goin to another drive.  I had the same problem with Creative's software when I filled the C: drive too full.

are you using notmad or nomad explorer??  I use nomad,  it's free and does the same thing (opens in widows explorer for drag and drop).  if not try it

also are you using usb or firewire??  have you tried both?

are the files ok on the JB3??  ie can you listen to/skip through the whole file??

I'm sorry if I missed your answer to this, but are the files playable on the JB3 itself?

Is there another computer you could try connecting to and seeing if they'll transfer on that?

Just some thoughts.
