Title: DA-20 Coax Output Problem
Post by: lbgspam on January 14, 2007, 09:30:25 PM
Hi,

I have a DA-20 that last I used to output via COAX spdif to my nightengale soundcard worked fine (about Feb 2006).  The dat deck was not touched since then and it plays tapes fine via analogue.

Well, I tried it a couple weeks ago and no sound came via the coax connection to my computer. I bought a Audiophile USB as I thought it was the nightengale sound card busting, but I am having the same problem --the coax out fails but the analogue connection works great.

I hardly use the thing, could the coax output just die sitting there without usage?
Any suggestions on things I could do to fix it as I don't want to buy a new DAT deck

just a thought.  is the card hardware set to spdif in??  I know with my  audiophile 24/96 you have to set it for it to recognize the signal.

In all the various recording programs I select Audiophile USB SPDIF.
I set in the Audiophile USB console to enable SPDIF IN via COAX
