you might be able to grab a set of unmatched ADK TL's for 600, if you can find em used

YEah I saw some in the yardsale for 650 I believe I would have liked those but that would make 4 set of mics for me and I just can see having that much $ in mics.

TLs...  The plain ADK A51S mics are nice as well, but are only cards.  They're about $100ea. used???

The LSD2 is nice as well...  But I think that may be more expensive???

From what I remember, the Vienna is a "pres" mod and the Hamburg a "warm" mod of the ADK TLs.  That's the closest I could come up with for a translation of their description when I was shopping for ADKs...

For the money ($700), you should get a matched pair of TLs.  The Hs and Vs are only Card.  The Hyper and Omni on the TLs are worth the wait...

I've had good luck with my Apex 435s - I like them better than my tascam/naks...

I was looking for a new LD to do vocals at home on, but at $80 I might buy a pair of those just to have.

You got any samples?  I've not heard anything from Apex.

Either Hypers or Card, and Omnis or Blumlein respectively.  Most def the ADK-A51TLs.

You said your price range is $300-$600 and $650 is too much?

I know its only $50....I will probably end up slutting it up and buying some TL's.  I just like to pretend I have will power over my taping obsession.

C3 is a nice mic, albeit only card, omni and fig8.

Here's a show I think shows them off nicely...

Wow thanks.  This sounds quite nice.  I just found the 415 too, I like the multipattern option there.  Definitely going to think about these.

I second the LSD2.  So easy to use it's ridiculous, and it's a great sounding mic!  $550 is a steal.
