Title: Rowi Clamp Help
Post by: terrapinj on January 25, 2007, 04:01:26 PM
my rowi clamp does not seem to be able to hold itself upright any longer, not sure if i need to replace the tension screw at the end or what.

curious if anyone has had similar problems or any suggestions to correct it

the thumb/tension screw in the red circle is what i am referring to

I'm having the same problem, actually lost screw that goes in and puts tension to hold it tight.
Since it is aluminum, I might just use a metal tape and increase it to a larger size screw.

Rowi is a brand name. Sometimes there is a difference in quality between a real Rowi clamp and a "Rowi type" clamp.

i love my rowi, its so compact and the versitility of it is unmatched.  I can clamp on any stand in any position and then adjust around whomever i'm clamping to.  I don't even need to have a front spot on the tree.

I have a different one so I don't know if I can help, but I have a feeling that your screw is worn down where it stops the rotation, maybe replace it?
