Title: soldering mini XLRs to my AT 853s...
Post by: Swampy on February 01, 2007, 03:10:33 PM
Hey all, so my 853s came with 1/8 ends, and I want to run them with phantom adapters and mini XLR ends. My question is if anyone know which wires go to what pins on the mini xlrs. In the cables there is a yellow, a red, and a shield. Any help would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

From the AT853 Phantom Mod thread

NOTE:  on a separate note, when i shortened my AT853 cable from 25' to 6', i noted the pin assignments respect to the conductor colors.

Yellow > Pin 2 (+)
Red > Pin 3 (-)
Shield > Pin 1

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember wiring them:
Pin 1: shield
Pin 2: yellow
Pin 3: red

Beaten to the punch.  That's why I love this place.
