Title: moe. in store
Post by: run_run_run on February 11, 2007, 04:52:29 PM
got my stuff all ready for moe. boarders in store for South Portland and have one slight concern about gain. I am thinking the PA will not be loud enough.

I am running Church Audio Cards ~> Church Audio pre (+20dB) ~> JB3

People who have seen in stores will +20 cut it?

i just ran 483>722 but have no clue how much actual gain i used since i left the v2 at home....

i doubt it tho, +20db doesnt cut it ANYWHERE for me., not even moe electric.......

I ususally use 20-25db gain on the v2 and add teh rest with the 722............

What is going to sound better, +12 more with a JB3 pre or post?

dude, def. DO NOT BOOST + 12 w/ a JB3 for a soft show.

All, you will get is hard drive spinning noise and ruin your recording (trust me, i know)

Do not go above +6 on a jb3, and +8 is the max.

depends on how close you are. the pa's they have been using are nice. crowd chatter is almost a guarentee. run'em hot!  i would use the gain on the box myself....good luck!
