Title: Newbie to recording - IRiver
Post by: mcbg1 on February 12, 2007, 08:50:29 PM
Hi everyone, posting for the first time here.

I'm going to a concert in a few weeks and I'd love to be able to get a high quality recording of it. I'm going to buy an iRiver and I was wondering what kind of inexpensive mics/battery box I should get to go along with it? Is it a battery box even necessary since the concert should mostly be guitar/music?

Thanks a lot!

The battery box may not be "necessary" but it will probably help, depending on the mics.  There are a lot of threads that you can search about "best set of mics for a newbie, on this or that budget, for this purpose etc.  Check the mic section of the board first, and then try the search function.  + T and welome to the board.  You will find this to be one of the most valuable resources on the planet if you tape live music.
