Title: Need help picking the right USB interface...
Post by: Swampy on February 13, 2007, 12:47:30 PM
Hey. So there is a chance I may be going on the road with a band this spring doing sound/tour managing... So anyway, I think its a shame that many of their shows go improperly recorded, and I would be remiss if I didn't record shows when I have the chance. So what I'm looking for is a USB soundcard with four to six inputs. I'd like two of the inputs to be either spdif or optical, and then have at least two analog inputs for board patches. I'm looking in the $200 dollar range, I know I'm not gonna get something incredible, but I do want something that can do the job quick and easily...  The ones I've found are:

Tascam us-144
E-MU 0404
M-Audio Fast Track
Lexicon Omega

Does anyone have opinions/experiences with any of those of something else that you can recommend? THANKS!

Also wanted to add that this doesn't need to be powered by battery power, I can plug it in...
