Hi,

I had the same problem with my old TCD-D7. I think the problem is, that the little button, which you must press, when you want to open the lid/door sems to degenerate after a while.

The solution in this case is, switch off the power and then switch it on again. After that it should work again.

Cheers

If you are in the uK (or Europe, I suppose) I can recommend someone to do the repair work for you if you want to go that route. He'll service it for you as well. I highly recommend him.

My UK-based D8 is getting a little tired now and could probably do with a once-over - what sort of prices are we talking?

And can your man service home decks too?

I don't know if he does home decks. But a service is about £40 + shipping.
I'll PM you his details.
