I hope she lets me keep these.
>:D

did you have to sell the kitchen table to fund those? ;D

Hahahaha, that's funny.
Your dog looks possessed.
-
+T for being such a gear slut. Pretty hard to sneak those by the wife! I'm not a fan of ML, but we all hear differently. I say we get a pool started on how long these last. 7-9 months
-
Forgive my ignorance, but who makes those monsters?
PS - The dog does look pretty damn evil. :)
-
They would have to be the best speakers ever made for Nick to keep them 7-9 months. Everyone should own some electrostats once in their life. They are true conversaition pieces. Congrats on the purchase, Nick.

speakers come and go.......just make sure she gives ya the dog.
-
that dog is possessed, as you can see.
those are Martin Logans, fwiw. Sequel IIs.
-
Jane's the sweetest dog ever but Sarah won't sit around & stand for this B/S, good luck, I'll keep my mouth shut now.
-
you take the speakers, she gets the dining room chairs.
-
tell ya what fellas.
i'm in freakin' electrostatic heaven!
Couldn't believe that the little baby sophia S.E.T. amp I was borrowing from Janka was actually makeing these things sing a little bit. Only 15w ... being pumped into a 4ohm speaker like a 6' ML is rediculous..but it worked.
But then I recieved my Cyclops back...and hooked that up last night.
whoa. holy shit!
Sub-whoofer...out the window. dont need it at all. these things pressurize my room *nearly* as good as my VR4s did. Turn the sub on (at the lowest Xover setting and maybe 1/10th of the volume available), and its THICK and fat sounding. just kick ass....filling in the bottom so round, so ...., sweet. words cant describe.
To add to all this, Carl has lent me his Thorens 160 TT, a brand new Grado Gold cart., and about 20LPs that I'll have to clean (as I doubt he's listened to my selections of Neil Diamond, Sinatra, various classical..etc).
Now I'm in trouble. He'll be here to help me set it all up later this morning. I'll take pictures.
-
Nice, maybe I will just take the sub home with me then ;)
-
all yours

They aren’t dogs……
They are acoustic treatment!
+T for sharing

I like how you had your camera centered on the speakers over your family...wait...speakers....family.... :-X :D
Funny thing is, I've been thinking about electrostatics for a while now. I like my rega r1's, but I would really be curious to give electrostatics a try in the future since I love my Baby Orpheus headphones.

the older MLs are cheap and abundant.
just wait for a local sale to pop up and you'll get something excellent for very short money.
My first pair, SL3s..which replaced the Sequal 2s I have now (pictured), are probably one of the most expensive "older" logans, and they are common in the $12-1700 range.
the Ascenti is awesome, and around $2300 (1/2 price from retail when they were new, which was only a few years ago).
The smaller MLs..., if you have a small room they'd be cool. But in a big room you want/need BIG pannels to really experience what they can do.
its a WALL of sound
