I purchased an iRiver 'as-is' from an eBay seller taking the chance that it would ok... But, you get what you pay for sometimes. The issue at hand - unit powers up and boots normally but my PC doesn't recognize it whatsoever, keeps giving me the same error:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Any help? Anyone have this issue before? I've uninstalled/reinstalled the unit from the Device Manager, no help there, same error.
Unit seems to have seen better days, there's quite a crack on the left side of the player near the internal mic. Am I destined to use it for spare parts?

Hi, sorry to hear about your troubles, but all is not lost...
The H120 is know to have bad soldering on a daughterboard, which connects harddisk, USB, ...
LinusN at rockbox knows all about it, but hasn't written this down in a webpage. If you think you can manage opening it and fixing it yourself, there's a chance you'll get a good player again.
Good luck!

UNfortunately, I'm not that technically skilled.
Probably just pass it on to someone who can fix it and needs one...
