Hi Mark,
These old Magnapan speakers are 5 ohm loads.  They are slightly tough to drive, but you'll never find a better sounding $300.  They would probably struggle on less than 60 watts.  We had a set of MG IIc's in the family for a long time and just watched a friend sell them in Seattle for $500.
