Word on the street is that Schoeps is going to raise their prices on April 1st and I don't think this is an April fools joke :(

that is common practice...each year that I was in Germany , the prices went up. God Bless the German economy :P. I wont be buying any new schoeps, that is for sure. The VAT exemption was very nice, but without that, prices are way too much.

Is it only Schoeps? How about DPA or Neumann? The last time Schoeps increased their price DPA did it, too....mainly due to the weak US $.... Sound Devices increased their price recently, too even though it's a US company.

if I am not mistaken Nuemann has facilities in the USA. That could keep prices the same. Schoeps has been operating out of one building in Germany since it's beginning.
Yes, Germany is on the rise and has a economy that blows the US away.
