Title: Sony DTC A6 ?

Has anyone ever encountered the "NO TAPE" message on their A6 (or similar Sony decks)? I'm hoping a good cleaning will solve the problem since it's definitely not worth servicing at this point. Thanks.

DTC-A6 Was a Consumer Predecessor to the R300 it uses the same BS transport design.  I know... I had one for some time.  You're better off spending your $$ on a used Panny rather than working on that transport which is probably the issue.
