Hello, this looks like an interesting forum!
I am wondering what you would recommend to monitor levels if I use an AD-20 with a Microtrack 24/96. When recording from the S/PDIF source, Microtrack shows no level information. So is there something I can put between as an input monitor?

you prob do not have the MT set up right
because it will show you levels
go into the settings and make sure you have it set on spdif, it sounds like its on 1/8 or 1/4 now

I haven't purchased an AD20 yet, but I've read several places that when using S/PDIF input the Microtrack shows no levels. Is this incorrent? I'm trying to get this together before I start buying stuff.

You will get levels on spdif in. I do ;) Seems I remember reading something about the original firmware had a problem with this but with the recent firmware revision, this is a non-issue.

I run a minime into Microtrack using spdif and always have levels. It would suck without them!

It shows levels when using the digi input. In fact it has always shown levels, they were a abit flakey in the earlier firmware, but there have always been levels ...

OK, wonderful, thanks a lot.

I think the question should be - I would like to run something in-between the pre-amp and the MT to show better levels!
It was suggested to me to get a Beachtek SVU-1 or Beachtek SVU-2

Frankly the levels are not that bad, no need for an SVU, ymmv ...
