Title: JB3 corrupt file help
Post by: mmadd29 on April 02, 2007, 10:48:51 AM
Hopefully someone know an answer to this.  I taped Starz in Cleveland this weekend.  The show on the JB3 is just over two hours.  Notmad shows the file to be about 1.2GB......when I go to move the file off my JB3 it says the file is corrupt.....now the file plays perfectly on the JB3...my guess is that   ::)  (okay, I'm dumb)....that when I saved the file I accidently removed the power to the jb3 just before it finished saving...thus corrupting either the header, or the EOF??

Anyone know how I can remove it??

I can just do it in real time put that would put another generation in the lineage.

I have this exact same problem!
I did not prematurely disconnect power while my file was saving, as far as I recall, (I was packing up mics.)

The file plays just fine, too...

I have run the 'cleanup' utility on the device but it did not help...

Have you had any luck?

Update!

So after forsaking all actual work in favor of seeking a fix for this, I rolled back the driver on my pc.

Yep.

This is the version that worked:
Certified Windows XP drivers for Creative NOMAD Jukebox 2,3, Zen and Zen USB 2.0, version 1.20.04c
12 Jun 03

This, rather than the driver date October 06 worked just fine...
