Title: Schoeps with phantom power and no preamp
Post by: grayp on April 12, 2007, 04:41:31 PM
A buddy just called and was loaned a pair of schoeps but only has a ps2.

Will this have a hot enough signal?   Used to work with my 480s.

Just curious.

as long as the ps2, is 48 volts then you can power the schoeps.

he has a modsbm, jb3.  i was just concerned about how hot the signal would be.

you'll probably be fine at a loud rock show.  for quieter, acoustic shows, you'll probably need more gain.
