great review of the OPPO 970HD universal player. they were skeptical, and impressed. especially as a transport. Me too.

also, a sneak peak at a new Magnepan subwhoofer. yes, its a plannar sub. Flat. sort of. curved and cool looking as all hell. supposed to match up w/their MMGs and on wall HT stuff.
very sweeet.
nice review of the Rega P1 LP player as well.

yea, its a great issue. I dont think they review anything over a few grand.
well, i'm sure they do, but they have some excellent budget components reviewed this month.

I've been listening to its analog output all week, and just hooked up my CIA VDA2 DAC again..., marginal improvement from a DAC costing nearly 4x as much.
If it had a digi in, it would be my favorite piece of electronic gear
