I'm using the shure vert bar...works great for me! :)
-
yo Terry, I'm actually excited about friday.
I cant wait to play with your LE's myself :-)
ps, Jen isnt coming down(she has a wedding to goto), just Scot and myself.
-
shure a27m vert mount is excellent for ortf, din, & x/y.
-
stupid question since I have never even seen ADK's in person, but these LE's(and the TL's) are side addressing LD's, right?

<------------yup

yes, side address LD's.

Nice Mike....I was wondering how you ran vertical like that....cause I can't do that with a shure bar. Will a regular t-bar...like AKGs work??
-
I've seen a mention of the AKG bar. That's carried by Sonic for $20. Is the Shure Vert Bar that much better that it is worth twice that???
And the AKG, it will support the weight???
Thanks for all the info guys,
Terry
Nic (Luvean), you may not be able to play with the mics if I can't get a T-Bar!

Terry, I have both of these T-bars (AKG and Shure) and the offer stands if you would like to borrow one or both of them and see which you like best.

terry, if anything, we wont run the AKG's and just run the ADK's

can't do x/y on the AKG or K&M bars. well, maybe with some modifications to bring one side 3-4" above the other, but even then I'm not sure if it would work. spend the extra $25 for the Shure a27m.
both mounts will support the weight just fine.

^^ you could always get 1 of those rapido extensions to place on 1 side of the t-bar, but I'm not sure if it would raise the mic high enough considering these are LD

This is the only way I can figure out how to set up xy with the vert bar. It works but I'd prefer going vertical. :P
