Title: 722 Take Number Setting Question
Post by: gratefulphish on April 28, 2007, 06:10:01 PM
I have finally started experimenting with my 722. In the manual, under take numbering, it says that you can number the takes, with or without a spacer, either numerical or a letter, but it only seems to give me the option of A-Z, no numbers, and no apparant way to leave the spacer blank or insert a - or a _.  Any help?   TIA.

I think this feature is either not documented correctly, or has not been implemented consistently across different firmware versions.

My unit is running firmware V2.03.  You can only enter A-Z for the take spacer, no numbers, no blanks, no non alpha characters (- _).

I am not aware of any "tricks".  As far as I can tell on the SD722 in general, if it is not available by scrolling with the selector knob, it's just not available.

There were some problems that certain post production houses had with the spacers and it has been under debate for a while now.

I use a "T" for my spacer.  I rename when it comes over to the computer in anyway,  band2007-05-05-partX.wav
