Title: Need help identifying a set of AT's
Post by: d5 on April 29, 2007, 01:05:07 PM
I may have the need to do some stealth taping this summer, so I dusted off an old set of AT's that I bought back in '86. I've long since lost the manual and don't know the model numbers. The power supplies are AT8505, but I assume that the model number is for just the power supply and not the mic's.

Also, are there powering options that are lower profile other than what I have? I plan to use them with a ACM 660 via the xlr's.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

John

They look like an old set of 853's with  an old AT power module that lets them run on phantom power.  The mics look the same as the 853's that were just discontinued and replaced by the U853's that are now inproduction.  The power module you have has shrunk in size over the years (LOL, story of my life, I'm almost 40) but with that said thats what it looks like you have.  853's! likely with card caps......peace JK
