The shock mounts and wind screens that come with my C4s have been adequate but I'm feeling the itch to upgrade. What are some good replacements for stock mounts and screens?
Thanks
Alex

For shock mounts I've been using the AT8410a. I just got pair of these from Cascade Microphones:

Cheaper than the AT's. Gonna field test them Fri at PG in Troy. I had to add another layer of the foam padding that's in inside of the ring, since the c4's are quite thin. Wife found the exact type of foam lining at Walmart. Has a self adhesive back. Just measure, cut, and place inside the mount. Easier to run DIN with these. Search around the Cascade site....I saw another set of shocks that mimic the AT8410a's but cheaper....can't vouch for the quality...caveat emptor.
FWIW I kinda don't mind the stock c4 shocks. Very compact and they don't weight much.
Happy Hunting.

Yeah I don't think they are terrible but they don't work well with the Shure Vert bar I just aquired. Thanks for the info

The Avantone SSM shocks worked for me when I had my C4s. They are really sturdy (metal), but also kinda heavy when run on a Shure a27m vert bar, but I never had a problem with a stand tipping over or anything.
I'd say either the DPA UA0896 screens or the Shure A81WS, as previously mentioned in this thread, will fit your needs.
