Title: preamp upgrades in Europe?
Post by: meatling on May 03, 2007, 05:28:31 AM
Recently I learned that Doug Oade (http://www.oade.com/digital_recorders/hard_disc_recorders/R4_upgrades.html) offers hard disc recorders with modified preamps, but unfortunately they don't ship outside the USA.

Does anyone know of a company or individual who offers a service like Doug Oade does in the USA, only for Europe?

Why not find someone in the USA that can help you out?
Oade could ship to them and they could ship to you.

Well, I considered that. The most prominent reason not to do that would be that I'd be SOL if anything ever breaks.

Besides, how do you find someone in the USA who can help you out?

They're referring to the "Yard Sale"(Classified) section on this discussion board.  Found here: http://taperssection.com/index.php/board,7.0.html

"ISO" stands for "In Search Of".  What macacopowa meant was to post in the Yard Sale section something like "ISO: Help purchasing from Oade overseas".  That's just a example but definitely a great place to start.  Good luck!
