I always used the Eveready 206 but they always fit too tight. Would have to shake them hard to get the battery out. Are there other brands that fit better?

Filing the 'sides' of the battery (lightly) with a fine-toothed file works great and gives just enough leeway for it to slide in/out. Of course, you could always opt for modding them so you never have to deal with the batteries again.

sweet...off to pick up some new ones. It's been a while since I used the mics and want to start fresh with new batteries.

I've heard this same complaint from pretty much every cm300 owner that still uses the 206 batteries. I've personally never had a problem with it, although filing them down just a touch is certainly a good idea.
