Title: First Taping Help
Post by: crowesBR on May 26, 2007, 07:37:24 PM
Hi people.
Recently I made my first taping. I'm new to this.

SP-BMC-2  >  SP-SPSB-8  >  Macbook  >  Audacity.

Made in 24 Bit

http://www.blackcrowes.com.br/sample_01.mp3 (http://www.blackcrowes.com.br/sample_01.mp3)

I'd like to know what I can do to make better. Any effects or something that I need to apply on the sound?

The place is a small bar. No good acoustic. Terrible sound.

I think that the sound on my record is good.

What can I add on this? Any help for my first record?

Thanks

Anderson

Sounds pretty good to me. Wish my first tape sounded this good...

I'd suggest playing around with the EQ settings for a while so you can hear what differences it makes, in the end though you might decide to leave it alone (raw).

BTW, don't forget to normalize to -0.1db (or -1db) before tracking. For tracking google and use CDWave.

Thanks Liquid Drum
I'll look at the EQ.

Thanks for the tips.

Sounds OK to me, too.  Vocals maybe a little low, but I'm sure that was the room/mix and not youyr recording.

yeah. Was the room. The sound was not so good that night.
