Does anyone have a service contact for AKG. I need to send my ck61 caps for a check up.
Thanks Ron.

The AKG USA site (google AKG USA) has the service contact info - leave a message and they call you back. They were very responsive when I called.

Rick has the contract with AKG-USA to do all warranty and repair work. If your caps' warranty has expired, just contact Rick direct. He fixed one of my 480 amps last year. I just got back my 460 amps today from him. He gave them a tuneup. Really nice guy. Does great work. Don't go through AKG unless your stuff is under warranty. Or you'll just get an AKG markup, if you go through them direct.

Thanks for the info.

isn't Richard Land who Sanjay had problems with (used to work for AKG USA)?
-
Dangit, I called AKG and they had me send my 460's to him for repair. Guess I'll be paying a markup...oh well.
-
I talked to Richard this morning and he told me it would be 25.00 a bench time to check out my caps per cap, if they needed to be rebuilt it would be 100.00. Does this sound fair?
-
I've never sent anything in for repair so I don't know if it is fair. But if you think something will need fixing and require the $100/hr fee you might consider that you can buy a brand new pair for about $320+shipping from boxy. With shipping and import fees it will probably be around $400 for a pair. That $100/hr can add up quickly and with a new pair they will be under warranty for a while.
Stay Kind,
Dana
