Title: my AKG 451s need refurbished

I decided to get the old 451s refurbished
and I was trying to decide if I should send them to Land Audio
or maybe even sending them to Jim Williams to have them modded
I realize that if I send them to Jim they won't be the same mics anymore
does anyone here have a pair or know someone who has had their 451s modded?
I know that everyone loves his 460 mod... but how about the 451?

Darby,

You can send your C451E to me Richard Land at Land Audio Services, but i do not do any mods and return everything back to factory specs.  As far as the mod you are talking about I personally think it is not worth the money and really does not do that much for the mic.
