Looking for software that can pull audio from DVD-R Audio discs (burned with Discwelder Steel). Any help?
-
DVD-audio solo by cirlinca does the job fine, strangely discwelder doesn't, despite a high price tag..."DVD-Audio Solo can only rip (i.e. extract) tracks from unencrypted and non MLP encoded DVD-Audio disc, i.e. non commercial DVD-Audio discs." (users' help).

DVD Audio Extractor works well for video DVDs. Not sure about audio DVDs. . . .

You could also try Dave Chapman's ats2wav: http://pindarots.xs4all.nl/files/ats2wav.exe (http://pindarots.xs4all.nl/files/ats2wav.exe)

libfab, DVD-Audio Solo was successful. Thanks for all the posts. +t

There are issues with ats2wav and XP. Anyway the syntax is command line:
ats2wav D:\AUDIO_TS\ATS_01_0.IFO
typed in a DOS command line window, after copying ats2wav.exe into the destination folder. You must "cd" into this folder in the command window prior to typing the above line.
My try was an utter failure, with an error message requiring the missing cygwin1.dll
There are a handful of shareware apps here : http://www.01download.net/search/90813/
Geewhizz, strange there aren't more DVD-A rippers out there, for all the potential demand for it!

Fab, put ats2wav in your lplex bin folder, where there's already a copy cygwin1.dll. If it asks for any other cyg* dlls, go to http://www.cygwin.com/ (http://www.cygwin.com/).

(french hourra!--engl. waow!, that's for Canadians)
Bahman, I hope the TS mods will shower you with +Ts this time.
Your Chapman small app ROCKS! Ripped my DVD-A in no time and cleanly once I got the required cyg dll. Thanks again. Fab
PS : could you possibly PM or post the source code for that ats2wav app? It's nowhere to be found and it might be useful to give it a spin.

ats2wav is a utility associated with dvda-author: http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net (http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net)
Source code for ats2wav is here in cvs: http://dvd-audio.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/dvd-audio/tools/ats2wav.c (http://dvd-audio.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/dvd-audio/tools/ats2wav.c)
