Thanks Gordon!
But what about the caps? How do you all hold them or do you just leave em on the bar in the bag?
or maybe just another smaller pelican?
Look 2 140 threads in a row. :0)

I leave them in the bar with the little "protection things/caps whatever" on and with wind screens on. seeing those pics pissed me off even more than I was ;)
I need this

for tonight to run full bodies and it is no where to be found. must have fallen out the bag somewhere >:(
the 140's in superlux shocks on a vert bar look awful funny and barley work. but I got it to DIN ;D

I have a thick toque that I use to transport mine. I coil the actives and put the caps in small windscreens and slide them in. The mount fits in there too and I stuff a couple of bandanas as extra padding when the bodies and mount ride in there. It's not a crush proof solution, but it keeps everything contained and padded while the whole thing rides in the bigger bag. Works great for the DPA 402x pairs too.

I kept the bodies in a Pelican 1060 and the caps in foam lined film cannisters.

yup. put windscreen on cap, slide film container over top, and put into tupperware. done and done.

Yup, same here, mic bodies in a pelican and caps in film cans, works out great ...

Fwiw, my local cigar store had a 2 cigar plastic case that would save a lot of space vs. that model. Not sure if it would fit longer bodies but probably the Neumanns..
spyder9 had some of his (ATs)in a cig case too
the ones he had screwed together so you could use different length mics as long as they fit inside
vs having just the cap screw on and the mic being able to slide up and down inside the case

I keep the bodies in a 1060 pelican and the caps in a 1010 pelican. Works great.
