Title: Need lma upload help
Post by: Tye on June 12, 2007, 10:34:41 PM
When the hell did the lma change how to upload?
I looked for new instructions but all they have up is a .pdf file from 06'
I get as far where you " upload a file"
Do I add one file at a time ? I can only add 6 more lines.???
I assume I can't ignore this step since it creates the folder ??

Hey Tye - the PDF is being updated as we speak. When you go to http://www.archive.org/create/ there's a link for Live Music Archive concerts. That takes you here: http://www.archive.org/create.php?lma=1 which is where you want to start. :)

Edited to say I am a dork , could of just picked the obvious choice to start :-[ :P :-[

Thanks again

I also have an LMA question...

How long does it usually take for a band to be activated and listed?
I sent the band and the etree curators the necessary emails on Friday morning and haven't seen the band listed yet.
I'm just wondering..not sure if this usually takes a couple days or a couple weeks.
They're called Share.

Thanks Tye - I removed the open source audio file.

Adam - bands are typically activated within a week, sometimes sooner...

Maybe this is off topic, so my appologies. I've been trying to upload some shows for a few weeks. LMA gives me the go. Then I start uploading in the FTP, I can get the info files and ffp uploaded into the folder. Now my problems start, it won't upload my FLACS into the folder in the FTP. I have uploaded a few shows in the past, I thought I was doing it the same way, but the FLACS won't upload into the folder created. Anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions? Thanks.

What FTP program are you using? Which shows are you uploading - what identifiers did you create?

SmartFTP, there was few indentifiers. As I tried a few times. Not at that computer right now, but I think some were as follows; Band id was lh or localh I think I used both, Dates would be 2007-04-18 and 2007-06-07 with milwaukee and waukesha as the rest of the identifier maybe even had WI at the end.
