Title: VIDEO_TS to YouTube on a Mac...
Post by: cleantone on June 19, 2007, 12:33:15 PM
Can anyone give me a run down of the best way to do this? I want decent quality and of course as little processing and processing time as possible. Thanks!

I've not uploaded anything to you tube. But I think you'll need to convert that vidoe_TS into another format (.mp4 or .avi) and then upload that. I'm pretty sure youtube does the conversion to flash format they use. I don't think they will let you send a full resolution video_ts file. Try using handbrake to make a .mp4 or ,avi file. It's super easy to work with.

mpegstreamclip, easy use, efficient at 100 per cent, and free http://www.squared5.com/

VIDEO_TS

-> to 324x240 vid with Handbrake software .. Youtube takes MPEG1 .mov, maybe x264 .. if Handbrake does not offer MPEG1 as target format: convert to that with FFMpegX or VisualHub for example

I had some issues getting mpegstreamclip working for this use. I did have fffmpegx and that did a good job of making a 700mb AVI. I then used QT Pro to trim the one tune I wanted to use. Then into iSquint. It's still processing but I am sure this will do the trick. Thanks! +t's all around.

I use visualhub as my swiss army conversion tool... the few bucks I spent on it were well worth it.
