Title: XLRM 5PIN to stereo female mini-jack
Post by: refrain on June 22, 2007, 12:36:44 PM
Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find a pre-built XLR 5pin male to a stereo mini-jack(3,5)?
I have already search the net, and nothing similar appeared.
The problem is that I need to connect a pair of binaural mics terminated in a stereo mini-jack
to a Canford Audio pre-amplifier that uses 5 pin XLR input .
Any help would apreciated,

Thank you in advance,
Carlos Santos

you need a custom cable.
build one!  or...hit up any of the capable cable manufacturers on the board.
theGreatGumbino (Hi-Ho cables), DeadHeadEd (kindcables), myself (hydra-cables), to name a few.  I'm sure we can all whip that up for you no trouble.
:-)

IMO, cut the mic cables and put on your 5pin male end there.

Hi Nick,

I dont want to waste the mini-jack cable because I'll use it depending on the recording situation, sometimes I use them direct with a 9V battery
and into the MT2496 mini-jack input. This cable is for using with the Canford pre-amplifier, and soldering or even fiding 5 pin XLR is hard (at least where I live, Portugal), and i dont have the skills.
But could I order a cable to you? very small lenght, like 0.15 or 0.20, because the MT2496 sits on top of the pre-amp.
How much it will cost? I live in Lisbon, Portugal (Europe).

Thank you for your help,
Carlos Santos
