Hi, Guys.
I recorded two (great) Derek Trucks shows this weekend and I'm having a lot of trouble transferring them to my hard drive. One is on a Transcend 4 GB card, the other on a SanDisk 4 GB. I recorded in 24 BIT, 48 kHz.
When I try to copy and paste as usual, I get this message:
"Cannot copy R-09_0001. The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid."
Or this one:
"Cannot copy R-09_0001. Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name."
I can open the file directly in Audacity, and everything looks fine. But when I try to save it, there are blank spots in the file that weren't there originally.
I can open the file directly in Audacity, and everything looks fine. But when I try to save it, I get "Failed to read from file".
HELP, please!
Thanks
Dennis

Tried opening in Cool Edit Pro - it took 27 minutes, save the first 1:55, and that was it...... >:(

I'd be real careful about deleting anything from that card until you're certain what you have is perfect.

You got that right! ;D Although since it is two different cards, it would seem the error isn't in the card.

OK, I changed USB ports and everything now works fine. Weird.
