Title: Can't believe I just noticed this

The Church Audio cardioids I bought have capsules. wow...haha

I never even thought about it, I thought everything was epoxied in place and in order to just buy capsules for a mic you needed a more expensive set.

So does that mean I could buy omni caps and just screw them in place of the cards? ;D

Yes you can buy the omni capsules from me they are $60 for a matched set. The capsules I sell are the only capsules that fit on these mics..

I got the omni caps, and am very happy with them.  My biggest problem is knowing/deciding which capsule to use from show to show.

I think cards are when you are trying for less crowd noise and omnis are when you want more.

IIRC, that's because their pickup patterns are different. Cards don't pickup noise behind them and omnis do.

I might have to look into some of those omni caps, Chris ;D
