Hey all, just a few quick questions. I am ultimately still new to taping, despite recording many shows, and recently noticed on a spectral analysis that my recordings look fairly lossy as they drop out around 16k. First question would be, is this normal?
So far I have just been running SP-CMC-2 > Iriver H120 with nothing in between, no other equipment. I have had gotten some really nice sounding recordings from just this set up, but noticed it's not as 'complete' as it could be, and I think we all strive for better quality...
Anyway, I am looking for ways of improving this, or tips on how to set up the rockbox properly, since my settings are quite basic. Or perhaps recomendations on a better (but not so expensive) alternative device.
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks

is your sampling rate set to 32kHz? either that or you should adjust your recording format. SP-CMC-2 have a 30-20 wide frequency spectrum afaik

Thanks for your answer, im pretty sure its the normal 44.1 (its the only option on my version of rockbox). Im beginning to think that maybe since im recording loud rock shows that it generally has more low end rather than high end frequencies?

Did you walk through the settings here?
