Title: Formatting Compact Flash for your Marantz deck?
Post by: NOLAfishwater on July 23, 2007, 12:18:57 PM
I have been using a San Disk Ultra II 4GB Compact Flash Card and have been getting Card Full errors in the last month and have lost 4 different recordings. Even though the deck shows over 2 hours of recording time available the deck just stops after about 4 hours of recording. Do I have to reformat the card? If so, how do you reformat the card?

the easiest way is to hook it up to your pc w/ a usb cable. then explore to the 660, right-click>format. you can look up the pdf manual online and do it through the menu. kinda tricky on my 671's. fwiw, i always format my card after use. i never delete the files, and have had 0 problems w/ 2 cards on either deck.
