i'm thinking of getting one so a friend can start using a JB3, D8 & run audio to a video camera-
any suggestions? vendors?
thanks,
seth

i only know of one, micsupply.com has em, splits 1 coax into 5, but that doesnt help a whole lot with the jb3, as a coax/optical converter isnt bit perfect i dont believe going to the jb3
-
thanks, i'll look for that

it doesnt look like to bad of a unit, would be great for shows and deck chains, runs off a 9v

At a recent show I saw fella running a digi patch bay I had never seen before. Had coax s/pdif and optical outs and ran off of a 6v SLA if I recalll correctly. Pretty cool looking unit, had an LCD that displayed the voltage left in the battery.
I spoke to the guy running it and he said it was built by a person named Neil Sturtevant. He also mentioned that it takes a very long time to have one built. Apparently Neil is just a taper that makes these upon request for other tapers. I don't have any contact info, but perhaps this may point you in the right direction...

copy/paste from dat - heads "Neil Sturtevant <Neil@directed.com>"

You can find info on those patchbays here:

Neil is a great guy and pulls a mean tape.....Some of the tapes I've heard.

i use a pro digital dda5. works great and makes life very easy for me. i bring a 10 foot coax cable, send the bay signal and keep patchers at a distance so i'm not crowded...it's been a life saver at some big festivals like bonnaroo where there were tons o patchers. highly recomended. i believe am-dig.com carries these as well. hope this helps!
