Hello team,
I just picked up an R-09 (thanks Emery) and need to buy a SD card bigger than 2gb. i'm totally new to the SD card thing so questions?
-what minimum speed class does the R-09 require for 24/48?
-any cards that absolutely will NOT work?
-best place to score cheap 4 -8 gb cards?
Thanks in advance.

I bought a Transcend SDHC 4GB card and it has worked like a champ.
I bought it at newegg.com. They don't seem to have that one in stock now.
I'm sure the price has dropped by now. Mine was a v2.0 at $45.
edit for clarification: mine is Class 2.0.
I have two Class 2 Transcend SDHC 4GB from newegg.com. They've worked fine so far.
I just bought an OCZ 4 GB SDHC Class 6 card from newegg.com. Though I haven't run it in the field, I let it record at home until the card was full. There were no errors of any kind.
I've been using SanDisk SDHC 4GB. (Not the Ultra II, just the regular blue one.) $52 from Amazon, comes bundled with SDHC-compatible USB 2.0 reader. ("Older" SD readers may not be able to see the files.)
I use 2 x 4GB SD(HC) from SANDISK bundled with the card-reader.
It´s perfect for the R09.
I bought my Edirol yesterday along with a Kingston 4GB SDHC Class 2 card, worked perfectly for both recording and playback on a quick test. Will see how it works when recording for longer periods of time.
edit: with 4 shows behind, including two 90min gigs, a 2 hour gig and a 3½ hour gig the card has worked perfectly so far with no glitches. Naturally this can't really be considered long term success but so far so good.
I used a SanDisk SDHC 4GB - one of those bundled with the reader - and faulted at 24/48 after 1 h. Tried to go on, faulted after another 10 m and so on. I don't know if it was just the card or the model, because I'm not going to use this type.
San Disk Extreme III Card and SDHC cards.
San Disk Ultra II SD and SDHC cards.
San Disk Ultra II SD Plus Cards.
I use San Disk standard memory cards. Are the other options better in any way? Why?
Thanks in advance
